  2. Describe the relationship between ICS and NIMS in effective incident management
  3. Identify and apply the 14 NIMS management characteristics (e.g., common terminology, modular organization, span of control, accountability, etc.)
  4. Understand the roles and responsibilities of the Incident Commander, Command Staff, and General Staff
  5. Differentiate between incident command and incident coordination Interpret the use of ICS in both planned events and emergency incidents
